French Simultaneous Interpretation Services in Nairobi for World Bank IDA21 Summit
Congress Rental East Africa delivered French simultaneous interpretation services in Nairobi for the World Bank’s International Development Association (IDA21) summit, hosted in collaboration with the National Treasury of the Republic of Kenya at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC). The high-level summit convened African Heads of State, ministers, senior government officials, and international development stakeholders to shape the policy framework for IDA21, the World Bank’s most significant replenishment cycle to date, covering July 2025 to June 2028.
The Challenge
The IDA21 summit required high-level simultaneous interpretation services in Nairobi to support multilingual communication during ministerial discussions, heads of state meetings, and plenary sessions involving senior government representatives and international delegates. Congress Rental East Africa was selected to provide French interpretation services through a tailored conference interpretation setup for both a dedicated breakout room and the main plenary hall, working in close coordination with AV partner Elite Sounds.
The Solution
For Heads of State meetings at KICC Nairobi, interpreters operated from ISO-compliant soundproof interpreter booths, ensuring optimal acoustic isolation, interpreter comfort, and high-quality multilingual interpretation.
In the main plenary hall, interpreters worked from built-in soundproof rooms while delegates accessed translated audio through digital infrared interpretation receivers, enabling clear, uninterrupted communication throughout the summit. Working closely with Elite Sounds, the full technical setup was integrated seamlessly to deliver precise, reliable conference interpretation at every session.
