Simultaneous Interpretation Services for YouthConnekt Africa Summit 2023 in Nairobi
Congress Rental East Africa delivered high-level simultaneous interpretation services in Nairobi for the 6th YouthConnekt Africa Summit 2023, hosted by the Government of Kenya in partnership with YouthConnekt Africa Hub and United Nations Development Programme at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre. The summit brought together young leaders, Heads of State, government officials, corporate leaders, development partners, and entrepreneurs from across Africa to advance youth leadership, innovation, and continental integration through policy dialogue, storytelling, networking, and investment-focused programs.
The Challenge
To support multilingual communication for a diverse international audience, including Heads of State and high-level delegates, the summit required a professional simultaneous interpretation solution in Nairobi capable of supporting major African Union languages across 5 breakout rooms and 1 plenary hall. Congress Rental East Africa was contracted to deliver a tailored conference interpretation setup, customized to the acoustic and technical requirements of each room layout in close coordination with resident AV partner MoSounds Events.
The Solution
Congress Rental East Africa deployed a large-scale simultaneous interpretation system across KICC, supporting 5 breakout rooms and the main plenary hall with ISO-certified interpreter booths, Bosch Integrus infrared systems, interpreter desks, radiators, and multilingual delegate receiver systems designed for clear, uninterrupted conference communication.

The Outcome
The YouthConnekt Africa Summit successfully brought together thousands of participants from across the continent, reinforcing Kenya’s ability to host world-class international conferences at KICC Nairobi.
